Lhyfe and Source Galileo have unveiled a joint agreement that will see them develop commercial-scale green and renewable hydrogen production units in the UK and Ireland.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed, with the ambition to deploy commercial-scale green hydrogen production facilities in the UK and explore opportunities in Ireland through focusing on identifying consumers and assessing factors such as grid availability, power supply, land accessibility and planning requirements.
They believe that through their collaboration, their economies of scale will accelerate the roll-out of green hydrogen and meet increasing demands from companies striving to cut reliance on natural gas and other fossil fuels.
Their initial focus will be on creating green hydrogen from electricity from onshore renewable resources, but could explore the enormous offshore wind potential both the UK and Ireland have in future in an effort to overcome electricity grid constraints.
