ESB and Hynamics UK eye green hydrogen project at Port of Barry

ESB and Hynamics UK have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a green hydrogen production facility at the Port of Barry in Wales.

The Barry Hydrogen Project is set to support the green hydrogen sector by generating and delivering green hydrogen for the decarbonisation of industrial operations around the Port. ESB and Hynamics will be focused on formalising contractual agreements related to the co-development of the project by the end of 2024, aiming to secure the necessary financing and development expertise for its development phase.

The strategic location selected has already been earmarked as the site for the development of the Clean Growth Hub, helping align a collective vision for sustainable growth and the future across the Port of Barry.
