SkiesFifty and Frontline BioEnergy have unveiled a partnership, through which they are set to advance the commercialisation of waste-to-energy technology, aiming to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Through the partnership, a new company will be established, jointly owned and invested in by SkiesFifty and Frontline BioEnergy. Blending SkiesFifty’s expertise in investment and sustainable aviation, together with Frontline’s gasification technology that sees biomass and waste converted into clean renewable fuels on an industrial scale, the expectation is the initiative will help address global demand for clean fuels, creating a robust production pipeline for SAF and green methanol.
It is expected to focus on scaling up green methanol and SAF production at strategic sites across the US at first, though there will be scope for global expansion. They have their sights set on this new venture becoming a “transformative force in clean fuel production” over the next decade.
