Following on from our launch event in July, we are hosting an event for stakeholders to join us for the first quarterly update from Hydrogen East. We will be hosting a short webinar on the 20 October (11.00-12.30) covering progress across our varied workstreams and outlining our workplan across October 2020-March 2021.
The event will feature presentations from two guest presenters working in the field, as well as from the expanding team at Hydrogen East,
We will give an overview of our Bacton/SNS 2.0 workstream, including an update on funding agreed in principle from four major stakeholders. A preview of the mapping work being used to scope the SNS opportunity will also be provided.
The Sizewell/Leiston workstream remains in early discussion stages, but we are continuing to look at the potential technology mixes and local sources of demand that could be deployed in the area.
Our Hydrogen Highways concept has refocused to look at a wider Clean Transport Hub concept, in acknowledgment that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to decarbonising transport. If transport is your area of focus, please also consider joining us for the Transport Hub launch event on 27 October where we will be looking in more detail at the challenges and opportunities around building a Clean Transport Hub in East Anglia.
We hope that you can join us and we look forward to sharing our latest developments.
