Anne Haase, Energy Transition, Commercial and Strategy Director, Aquaterra Energy

Anne joined Aquaterra Energy in 2022 as Renewables Director, to lead and grow the offshore renewable energy arm of the business. She brings over 25 years of experience across multiple energy sector segments such as Engineering services, Operations and Maintenance, BD, and Commercial.

Anne is responsible for the evolution of Aquaterra’s green energy portfolio, particularly focusing on Offshore Wind and Offshore Green Hydrogen markets. Passionate about Energy Transition, she is heavily involved in clean energy infrastructure projects, and engages with trade associations, Special Interest Groups, and Governmental bodies. Her current workscopes include scaling offshore hydrogen projects in North West Europe with wind developers and transmission owners and also developing hydrogen specific technologies which improve safety and reliability.

She has a Masters in Financial Economics and has worked within major corporates and SMEs within the clean energy sector.

Mark Turner, Vice Chair / Director, Hydrogenus

Mark lives in Suffolk, the county in which he was born. He is a director of HydroGenus, an independent new company that seeks to work collaboratively with other organisations to bring projects to fruition that will provide low carbon hydrogen to enable the switch from fossil fuels. HydroGenus is currently working with UK Power Networks on an innovation project to establish a flexible approach to enable electrolysers to connect to already constrained electricity networks. 

Mark has over 30 years in electricity and water utility sector, advising Boards and delivering strategy, regulation, and transformation projects. He is an associate and former director at Ernst & Young. He is commercial adviser to electrolyser deployment at Northern Ireland Water. Mark is married to Claire and outside of work, he enjoys his golf and is a member of Aldeburgh Golf Club.

Johnathan Reynolds, Director / Managing Director, Opergy Group

Johnathan is co-founder of Hydrogen East, a champion for the hydrogen sector and exploring a range of novel energy hub concepts, aimed at large-scale hydrogen and offshore wind integration. Johnathan is a distinguished consultant known for his leadership in clean energy technologies, innovation workspaces, and technology commercialisation within the business and industrial strategy sectors. His deep expertise and extensive experience across clean energy and technology sectors have made him a pivotal figure in supporting businesses through high growth and rapid technology innovation.
